This half day journey takes us to the North West of the county via Keswick and Cockermouth to Whitehaven with its fantastic Georgian buildings and historic harbour. We call at The Rum Story - the world's first exhibition of the story of rum which tells of its historic links with the triangular trade to the West Indies. Our return journey takes us along the shores of Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere, over the heights of Honister Pass, down into Borrowdale and onwards to Keswick, Thirlmere and Grasmere.
