There are memorable photographic opportunities on our half day's visit to Sawrey and Hilltop, home of Beatrix Potter. The tour then calls at Hawkshead and the idyllic Tarn Hows. Afterwards we move on to Coniston, forever associated with Arthur Ransome, author of Swallows and Amazons, Brantwood, home of John Ruskin and memories of Donald Campbell and his record breaking power boat, Bluebird.
